When the Oneiric Meets the Telluric
Paola Baglietto was born and raised in Mexico City by immigrant parents from Belgium and Italy. She holds 3 graduate degrees ( M.A., M.Ed, Sp.) and is currently a doctoral candidate in Modern Languages and Culture at Middlebury College.

She has lived in varied places around the world (Mexico, France, Spain, etc) and travel has been a staple in her life. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado and spends part of the year in Mexico City.

Her painted works are tangible manifestations of her poetry. These depictions are strongly influenced by her travels, particularly the jungles, woods, fauna and flora of the Mexican Pacific Coast.

In contrast, her poetry is an ethereal reflection of her passion for philosophy, the study of the human condition, social justice and the inner musings of her quizzical mind.

Together they make a deeply metaphorical body of work that confronts the oneiric to the telluric.

When she isn't writing or painting, Paola is a Culture Consultant. and social mobility Instructional Designer. She has learnt and studied the complexities of organizational culture, learning and development, oppression and intersectionalities, institutionalized discrimination and the systems that can be put in place to create tangible social mobility and exact profound cultural change.
